OVERVIEW
The Lotus Shores Yoga Retreat is a year-round immersion in the following practices: meditation in movement (asana) and stillness, nada and mantra (inner and sacred sound), and pranayama (mind and breath). Undertake life’s most important journey, the discovery of the Self, using the pathways mapped by these practices. Experience true sadhana, the act of reclaiming that which is divine in us, the truth and power of our being. This is experienced as the innate intelligence of our embodiment that is naturally in harmony with the cycles of the cosmos; we also know it as our ability to heal and uplift our selves and others. In this immersion, we will deepen our capacity to listen, love, and serve—by cultivating these karmas (actions) we become established in our essence-nature, from where we create more compassionate and loving relationships and live lives of true purpose.
This immersion is for someone who wants to experience more freedom, clarity, and joy in their lives by deepening an existing practice with the study of more subtle forms of yoga alongside asana (breath, mind, sound, etc.).
It is also for anyone regardless of background and experience in yoga seeking the tools to create the kind of change and alignment in their lives to live with more purpose.
The immersion is intended for those who are ready to give themselves the gift of true rest, where the mind is quiet, the body relaxed, and their wordless presence/awareness is pervasive. In this retreat you will learn the meditation tools to maintain one’s health, balance, and vitality.
Deep rest can only take place when we are closer to nature, in tune with her rhythms, and when we consciously minimize our sense-organ stimulation and activity. Through regular sound healing experiences, and therapeutic forms of pranayama (breath work) we activate our parasympathetic nervous system, signaling the body-mind to restore its vital energies. And guided in the art of yogic sleep, or yoga nidra, you will experience that state of wakefulness and total relaxation simultaneously.
The vibrancy in one’s state that results from deep rest is the foundation of Self-exploration through practice. The day begins at seven in the morning and ends at nine in the evening. Apart from the classes provided in the schedule below, we have created special workshops that serve as a bridge between your practice and your every day experience. They provide you with a deeper understanding of the yoga practices and a space to integrate the breakthroughs that often arise in dedicated self-exploration, upon all of which you can create a home practice.
Special workshops will be schedule upon arrival;
usually between 1-4 pm.
Participation in our Community Classes and Dinners are included in the program cost.
Drop-in classes for both stay-out and
checked-in guests (who are not participating in the Blossoming Lotus immersion) kindly view our regular class schedule.

SIARGAO ISLAND
Since it was discovered by surfers in the late 80’s / early 90’s, Siargao has then become the tropical island destination for surfers and non-surfers alike. It offers, for the yoga practitioner, the opportunity to practice in nature, close to the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) which reflect the different dimensions and aspects of ourselves. We come away more embodied and with greater self-awareness.
The island has plenty of natural pools, lagoons, waterfalls and caves, one can visit between during or after the program. Tours, surf lessons, and other outdoor activities can be organized upon arrival, with the Program Coordinator and the front desk.
